Mesotherapy

Beauty shots to fight Father Time!
Want to fine tune your figure and look younger? Injections may be an alternative. You may think these beauty shots called Mesotherapy are worth a shot! Move over lasers and lipo. The hottest technique to fight father time and mother nature is called Mesotherapy. It is becoming an increasingly popular weapon in the anti-fat arsenal. It is actually a series of injections that is a cocktail of drugs, vitamins and supplements. They have been successful with it for many years in Europe and now a handful of doctors are certified in the United States, one being Dr. Joseph Z. Hura, M.D.

What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy, pioneered in the 1950s by a French physician, Dr. Michael Pistor, is the painless injection of vitamins, minerals, medications and amino acids placed just under the surface of the skin. Mesotherapy has a variety of applications, including weight loss, cellulite reduction, face and neck rejuvenation and hair re-growth.

How Does Mesotherapy Work?
"We inject nutrients into the skin right where the cells need it." The medications that are used in Mesotherapy melt the fat beneath the skin and shrink the fat cells in the scarpus fascia layer. The fat dissolves and, as occurs when fat is broken down during typical weight loss, is carried through the bloodstream and excreted by the kidneys and bowel.

Mesotherapy for Cellulite
Mesotherapy is a permanent solution that eliminates dimpling and misshapen fat under the skin. Cellulite is an accumulation of fat, fluid and toxins trapped in a hardened network of connective tissue fibers in the Mesoderm layer. Mesotherapy is used to cause an increase in venous and lymphatic flow, as well as the elimination of fat and dimpling in the area. In four weeks, a patient's skin appears significantly smoother. Most patients lose anywhere from two to four inches where their cellulite is treated.
